If you’re just beginning to explore cheese, come hither! I want to whisper in your ear. First, I want to tell you about the “yoga breath of cheese” — yes, it’s a thing, and it will help you taste cheese in a deep, deep way. Then, I want to fix you a cheese board and share a couple of tips with you on selecting and serving cheese.

Unfortunately, this is going to be a virtual whisper. But, I hope that it sends shivers down your body anyway, because I have compiled my best tips on how to indulge in the Cheese Lifestyle in a story for Fermentation Magazine, called So You Want to Be a Curd Nerd?

You can read the entire story online, or consider ordering the summer issue of Fermentation! There are more great cheese stories, along with recipes for Brussels-style Lambic, root beer, and homemade wine. If you’re staying put this summer and looking for new kitchen projects, Fermentation is an inspiring guide. I loved writing this piece, and I hope it inspires you to build more boards, try new cheeses, and experiment with pairings.
